#23 – God is not mocked – August 1, 2024

Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

                Saturday, July 27^th, I woke up and turned the TV on as I drank my coffee.  The first thing I saw, the VERY FIRST thing I saw, was the disgusting portrayal of the Lords Supper performed by people at the opening of the Olympics.  It literally made me sick to my stomach and so extremely sad.  But, that’s what non-believers do.  These people know nothing about the spiritual consequences of their actions.  They don’t realize and understand that the display they so proudly displayed will, most likely, be their downfall.

                We are in a time when Christianity is being ridiculed, “mocked”, demoralized, and portrayed as a evil entity.  Wickedly worldly desires are being hailed as an accepted lifestyle with no consequences attached.  But…we’ve been warned.  What we do with these warnings is up to us, individually.  Pay close attention to the verses below…

                Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

                Romans 1:26-32, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even the women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that penalty of their error which was met. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate (no-good) mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable (ruthless) , unmerciful; who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

                1 Timothy 4:1-2, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”

                2 Timothy 3:2-5, “For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head-strong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.  And from such people turn away!”

                There was a recent post that came across Facebook recently that said, “The Bible is playing out right before our eyes, and so many people still can’t see it”.  Do you see it?  I do.

                We have a political and spiritual war going on in this country…and across the world.  Countries are joining forces at this very moment to take down and destroy God’s people.  Not just Israel but true Christians, believers in Jesus Christ; people who have been adopted into the family of God. 

                I don’t care what political party you belong to, nor do I care what news information you listen to, nor do I protest against any “gender” you may associate with, nor would I EVER make fun or humiliate any of your choices, and I certainly wouldn’t taunt any religious entity you serve.  But it breaks my heart that many choose to taunt and ridicule the righteous Entity I serve.  And just like other believers, I will continue to stand for the One I put my hope and faith in.   I stand for my God, my Savior, my Redeemer, my Friend…Jesus Christ.

                My heart cries for those who are lost and unaware of how their actions will affect their lives.  We must continue to pray for them, to love them (not their actions), and to reach out to them with understanding and a desire that they come to know the One True God of the heavens and the earth.  One of my favorite quotes says it all…”The true test of Christianity is not just loving God ~ it’s loving Judas”.

  I will continue to write and post the issues that I feel are important for you to know toward your salvation.  However, I’m not the one to save you.  No man or woman can; not even a pastor, priest, or any religious leader.  But as Christians we can plant the seed of the gospel that will grow in the hearts and minds of those who are lost and make known to them the evil that is infiltrating this world. 

Only through God’s grace and your belief and faith in the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ can you be saved.  It’s a decision that you and God must make together. 

Don’t let the world take hold of your soul.  Let the Holy Spirit set you straight.  He’s waiting.  He’s always waiting.  For as long as it takes, He’ll always be waiting.  Just don’t wait until it’s too late. 

There are battles coming that every Christian should be prepared for.  And for those who are not believers…SPOILER ALERT…we’ve read the end of the “Book”…we win, you lose.
